From April 12 to 26, 2024, Lomonosov Moscow State University will host the International Scientific Conference of Students, Postgraduates and Young Scientists "Lomonosov". The Higher School of Translation (Faculty) invites you to participate in the section "Theory, History and Methodology of Translation" on April 17.
Dear students, postgraduates and young scientists!
We invite you to take part in the section "Theory, History and Methodology of Translation" within the framework of the International Scientific Conference "Lomonosov - 2024", held annually at the Lomonosov Moscow State University. 
The main purpose of the Lomonosov Conference is to develop the creative activity of students, postgraduates and young scientists, involve them in solving urgent problems of modern science, preserve and develop a unified international scientific and educational space, establish contacts between future colleagues. 
Participation in the Lomonosov 2024 conference is an opportunity to present the results of their scientific research and receive expert assessment, get to know representatives of the scientific community, broaden their horizons, improve their analytical and critical thinking skills, hone their oratorical skills, prepare a scientific publication in the conference proceedings and enjoy the work done.
Applications for participation in the conference are open until February 16, 2024 at 23:55.
In 2024, the work of the section "Theory, History and Methodology of translation" is organized in the following thematic areas (subsections):
1. General theory, history and didactics of translation;
2. The methodology of translation. Digital technologies in translation.
3. Literary translation: methods and criticism;
4. Comparative linguistics and discoursology;
The participants of the conference are awarded a certificate, and the winners of the competition for the best scientific report are awarded a special diploma of the Organizing Committee of the conference.

In order to apply for participation in the conference, you must first register on the Lomonosov portal.
When submitting an application, you must:
1) specify the format of participation (role) by selecting one of the options from the drop-down list: author, co-author or listener 
2) find the section "Theory, history and methodology of translation" in the drop-down list and select the one in which you plan to participate from the specified subsections.
Please note that the abstracts for all subsections of the section "Theory, History and Methodology of translation" are issued in Word format. The rules for the design of abstracts can be found in the section «Общие требования к оформлению тезисов для секций с загрузкой Word-файла» ("General requirements for the design of abstracts for sections with a Word file download"). The rules for the design of the list of references ("Правила оформления списка литературы") are also posted on the portal.
